If you’re planning a trip to Italy, if you want to explore the cultural richness and world-renowned artistic treasures of Tuscany, if you’re yearning for natural beauty and sparkling-clean beaches, then Tirrenia is the right place for you.

Located on the Tuscan coast between Pisa and Livorno, Tirrenia has become known for the cleanliness of its waters and the great variety of options available to visitors to its beaches, earning it a perennial Blue Flag from the international, independent Foundation for Environmental Education. On the fine, golden sands of Tirennia’s beaches you can enjoy playing a variety of sports, such as beach volleyball, soccer, Frisbee[[??]], or table tennis, while in the crystal-clear waters you can wind surf, sail or scuba dive. Simply relaxing and sunning yourself is also allowed! Although there are a few public (free) beaches, most are privately owned, offering not only lounge chairs, beach umbrellas, private clothes-changing and storage cabinets, showers, bars, restaurants, and music, but also play areas and activities for the kids, so that the whole family can have a relaxed but unforgettable Mediterranean vacation.

Tirrenia lies in the great pine forest of San Rossore nature park, where there are a multitude of paths for walking, hiking, jogging, biking and even horse riding. The area has nine- and eighteen-hole golf courses, soccer fields, tennis courts, and riding stables and also hosts the training center of the Italian National Olympic Committee (C.O.N.I.). At the "Ciclilandia", children can learn to ride a bike, along with the rules of the road, in a safe, controlled setting, and bikes for both children and adults are available for rental.

In the heart of downtown Tirrenia, you’ll find a great assortment of lively entertainment and nightlife options for the whole family, including the “Lunapark” amusement park, restaurants serving typical, delicious Tuscan cuisine, a wine-tasting Cantina offering a great selection of Chiantis, karaoke bars, discos, open-air concerts and cinemas, a shopping arcade where crafts of all kinds are sold, and a weekly market.
